The Jagannath Temple is a Hindu temple located in the city of Puri, in the state of Odisha, India. It is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Vishnu, along with his siblings, Balabhadra and Subhadra. The temple complex covers an area of over 400,000 square feet and is surrounded by a high wall. The main temple tower, known as the shikhara, is over 200 feet tall and dominates the skyline of Puri. The temple is famous for its annual Rath Yatra, or chariot festival, in which the deities are taken out of the temple in grand processions on elaborately decorated chariots. The festival attracts millions of devotees from all over the world. The temple's architecture is a mix of the Kalinga and Dravidian styles, and it has four entrance gates in four different directions. The temple's kitchen, known as the Anand Bazaar, is one of the largest in the world and is capable of cooking food for over 100,000 people in a day.
